About: Jan Schneider Lund will sign her sweeping trilogy-novel, which takes readers from the midwest to Paris.

Two girls from opposite backgrounds–Sarah Shrier and Cassandra Hyde–find themselves college roommates, and forge a deep friendship. Sarah is a small-town Jewish freshman, and Cassandra a wealthy, beautiful, artistic WASP sophomore. We follow their coming of age and self-actualization amid the turbulent backdrop of the late 1960's milieu of "sex, drugs, and rock & roll," Viet Nam war protests, romance and love. The novel moves from Iowa City to Paris and Chicago.

Jan Schneider Lund is a retired adjunct assistant professor of French at Creighton University, as well as a long-time high school French and English teacher. She is the author of poetry and articles, and the winner of numerous teaching awards over a span of forty years in the classroom, and is an active community volunteer in many education and arts organizations. She is past President of Alliance Française of Omaha and the Nebraska Association of Teachers of French. She makes her home in Omaha.
